Gottmer Publishing Group is a dynamic, versatile and modern concern with a well-established and distinguished list. From its foundation in 1938 to the present day, Gottmer Publishing Group has occupied a unique position in the (Dutch-speaking) publishing industry. This is partly due to its independence and history as a family business. The Gottmer family started a small, personal business that has since flourished into one of the biggest independent publishing houses for the general market – without ever losing its personal touch. We are proud of the many surprising, challenging and beautiful publications we produce for children in the Netherlands and Belgium alike. We continuously strive for innovation, progress and quality. International names on our lists include Eric Carle, Liz Pichon, Axel Scheffler and John Flanagan.

We publish a broad spectrum of titles under our two imprints Gottmer & Big Balloon  – children’s & juvenile books and (license)magazines.
